About the program
Thrive Together Walker County is a collaborative project between Bevill State Community College, Walker County Board of Education and The Jasper Area Family Services Center. The 2Gen work has been funded by The Women's Fund of Greater Birmingham and the Walker Area Community Foundation. The program provides supportive assistance through Coaching to two generational families to reduce and break the cycle of poverty.
Participants will be screened and assessed; upon acceptance into Thrive Together, a growth program with specific and measurable goals will be created based on their HOPES and DREAMS. Participants will receive individualized training and access to supportive services such as:
